Final Round AI Alternatives, Refunds and Cancellation (2026)

In any subscription product, the cancel button stops the next billing cycle from starting. It does nothing to the payment that has already gone through. To get that money back, you have to send a refund request within whatever window the policy allows, and if you assume cancelling covers both, the window can close while you wait.

Cancel first, save the confirmation screen, then send the refund request. The confirmation and your receipt identify the account and the charge for support, and even if the refund is declined, the next charge is already blocked.

The official refund policy page shows a last-modified date of July 16, 2026. Within the scope we checked, it describes a request window of 72 hours after payment, a usage condition for that billing period, and a one-time guarantee per customer, but the same document contains wording that excludes monthly payments, so both parts have to be read together. This guide does not restate the usage thresholds or state whether monthly plans can be refunded. The document leaves room for different readings depending on your situation, and policies can change after you paid. The only reliable answer on your own charge comes from support, based on the policy in force at payment time and your account's usage history.

When you write to support, include the payment date, the amount, the payment method, and a one-line reason. Refund stories posted elsewhere online reflect other people's account conditions and do not tell you how your request will be handled.

Current prices belong to the official pricing page and the checkout screen. Our check did not pin down a clear charge amount or billing cycle, and figures quoted in older third-party reviews may no longer match, so this guide does not repeat any dollar amounts for Final Round AI.

Some subscription pages show an annual plan as a per-month figure. On the last screen before you pay, read the total that will actually be charged, the billing cycle (monthly, quarterly, or annual), whether it auto-renews, and any session or feature limits. A screenshot of that screen is useful evidence if you later request a refund.

Here is a message you can adapt. It is a hypothetical example for illustration; if the service has its own form, use that instead.

"I subscribed on [date] and was charged [amount] for the [monthly/annual] plan. I have already cancelled auto-renewal. I would like to request a refund for this charge under your refund policy. My usage since payment is [number] sessions. Please let me know if you need any additional information."

Final Round AI's official site presents Interview Copilot, which assists you in real time during an actual interview, and Practice Interview, which is for rehearsal beforehand, as separate features (product overview). Make this distinction before you look for alternatives. Most of the tools below are practice tools and do not replace live assistance.

Live assistance is only an option where the hiring organization allows it. Check the interview instructions or candidate rules for bans on outside tools, screen sharing requirements, or proctoring, and if the rules are unclear, ask the recruiter directly. Using the tool only for practice before the interview raises none of these issues.

Huru's official page describes video recording with feedback, practice built from a job posting, and support for several languages, and, as checked on October 25, 2026, lists it as free for job seekers with no subscription. The free plan includes unlimited mock interviews and the full feedback report; only the Enterprise plan for organizations is priced on inquiry. On September 18 it listed Starter at $24.99 per month and Growth at $99 per year, so the pricing structure has changed. Confirm the current terms at checkout. Marketing claims about improved hiring outcomes are not used as evidence here.

Aced Practice is the former Exponent brand, and its FAQ says Pramp has been folded into Aced. Peer-to-peer mock interviews, where you take turns as interviewer, are the default. Free users get monthly practice credits and members get unlimited access, while AI transcripts and feedback for some interview types are listed as early access for paying members, so do not expect unlimited free use.

interviewing.io offers anonymous technical mock interviews with working engineers and, separately, an AI Interviewer for coding and system design practice. It is not a human-coaching-only service, and we did not verify individual session prices, so check them on the booking screen.

Preterview runs mock interviews based on your resume, portfolio, and the job posting, gives feedback after the interview, and reviews portfolios. As of October 8, 2026, a signed-up account gets one free portfolio review a day (scores, the evaluation and one improvement in full; one pass opens the other improvements), and mock interviews have no free allowance beyond a one-question taster (once per account, since October 24, 2026). Paid use is pass packs rather than a subscription, so nothing auto-renews: 5 passes, enough for one interview, start at $6.99, and purchased passes stay valid for 90 days. Check current terms on the pricing page before paying; the sample report shows what the feedback looks like. There is no live copilot; it is a practice-only service.

The table contains only what each service publishes on its own site. It is not a verified ranking of quality. Whether a service asks useful follow-up questions on your particular answers is something you can only judge by describing the same experience to the same prompt on each one.

If your interviews cluster within a few weeks and you will not practise afterwards, paying for what you use can leave less money unused than a monthly subscription. AI practice suits repeated solo rehearsal, while peer practice adds the pressure of a real listener and the experience of being the interviewer. Combining both is reasonable.
