AI Mock Interview Services Compared: Features and Pricing (2026)

Eight services are included: Saramin's AI mock interview, JOBDA's competency assessment and Wanted's AI interview coaching from Korea, plus Huru, Aced (formerly Exponent), interviewing.io, Final Round AI and Preterview. Services whose terms we could not verify this time, such as ViewInter, Catch and Interview King, are left out rather than described from old articles.

We compare on five points: whether questions come from your document, the job posting or a fixed list; whether follow-up questions depend on your answer; whether feedback points at a specific part of an answer; whether you answer by video, voice or text; and what the free tier and paid terms are. We do not sort tools into free and shallow versus paid and deep. Saramin describes resume-based questions with follow-ups and also lists a free trial, though what the trial includes should be checked on the service itself, and a paid tool in the wrong format is not worth much.

Employer-assigned assessments come first because their format is fixed. JOBDA's official FAQ describes five attempts a month, or 120 a year for partner members, with no carry-over of unused attempts, and says the results report is for reviewing competency type, strengths and weaknesses and checking the attempt itself, per the official FAQ. The grade is not a pass guarantee, and whether an employer accepts an externally practiced result is the employer's decision. For a human-led interview, the useful question is what material the tool reads. A tool that reads your resume can ask why you chose one approach over another on a project you actually listed. A tool that reads the job posting can turn each requirement into a likely question. A fixed list gives you baseline practice on common questions. Each is legitimate, but only the first two rehearse the specific follow-ups you will face.

Saramin's AI mock interview describes resume-based tailored questions, follow-up questions that depend on your answer, per-answer feedback, use on PC and mobile, and voice practice on mobile, according to the official page. It is not only a camera-posture tool. Access is a free trial plus paid passes. The single-session product page showed a list price of 27,500 won, a displayed discount price of 10,000 won and a 30-day use window from purchase on September 18, 2026, per the store listing. Promotions end and account terms vary, so confirm at checkout. Multi-session prices were not verified here.

Wanted's AI interview coaching offers a preparation path built from a job posting, per its official page. We could not confirm the current free allowance, paid price, voice support or underlying model, so start from what the screen shows today rather than launch-era articles. Both services run in Korean and suit applications to Korean companies.

Huru's official page describes video recording with feedback, practice built from a job posting and support for several languages. As checked on October 25, 2026, it lists the service as free for job seekers with no subscription. The free plan includes unlimited mock interviews and the full feedback report; only the Enterprise plan for organizations is priced on inquiry. On September 18 it listed Starter at $24.99 per month and Growth at $99 per year, so the pricing structure has changed. Confirm the current terms at checkout.

Aced, formerly Exponent, centers its Practice product on peer mock interviews. The official page describes monthly practice credits for free users and unlimited access for members, notes that Pramp has merged into Aced, and lists AI transcripts and feedback for some interview types as early access for members. interviewing.io describes anonymous technical mock interviews with engineers and a separate AI Interviewer for coding and system design on its official site. We did not verify current session prices.

Final Round AI separates Practice Interview, a rehearsal product, from Interview Copilot, a real-time assistant used during an actual interview, on its official site. Using assistance during a live interview is first a question of whether the employer permits it. For practice, only the Practice side belongs in this comparison. If you are looking for Google Interview Warmup, the former address redirected to a general interview-tips article on September 18, 2026. That observation does not establish why or whether it will return. Current options are listed in Google Interview Warmup alternatives.

Preterview runs a mock interview built from your documents, such as a resume or portfolio, gives feedback on each answer after the session, and offers a separate portfolio review. Because Preterview publishes this guide, we can describe its features precisely, but we do not claim here that its quality is higher than the others.

As of October 8, 2026, a signed-up account gets one free portfolio review a day. The free review shows scores, the evaluation and one improvement in full; the other improvements show only their titles, and one pass opens them on the result page. Mock interviews have no free allowance beyond a one-question taster (once per account, since October 24, 2026). Paid use has no subscription: you buy passes, and the smallest pack is 5 passes, enough for one interview, for $6.99. An interview uses 5 passes, a portfolio review uses 1, and purchased passes stay valid for 90 days. Check the pricing page again before paying, and see the feedback format in a sample report. No result is a pass prediction, and nothing here replaces an employer's judgment.

The limits are concrete. It is not a hiring platform, so practice does not connect to applications. It does not reproduce employer-assigned assessments such as JOBDA's. Saramin also describes resume-based questioning and lists its own free trial. A sensible approach is to run the same document through Saramin's trial, after checking what it includes, and through one Preterview interview, then keep the one whose feedback you can act on.

Read the format column before the terms column. An assigned assessment needs the same format. A human-led interview needs a tool that reads your material. An English or overseas engineering interview needs a tool in the right language and interview type. Only after that filter do free tiers and prices matter.

This procedure is a Preterview editorial suggestion, not a certified evaluation method. Marketing copy cannot tell you how deep the questions go or whether feedback is usable, so test candidates with identical material and record what happens.

1. Pick one job posting and one real resume. Use a copy with client names, exact revenue figures and confidential details removed.
2. Run one session on each of two or three candidate services with the same document. If time is short, answering the first three questions on each is enough to compare.
3. Fill in a scorecard for each session: which sentence of your resume the first question came from, which part of your answer the follow-up picked up, whether feedback pointed at a specific sentence or stayed generic, and what you would change on a second attempt.
4. Two days later, reread the revised answers and confirm they describe your actual experience. Do not adopt a suggested phrasing that is not true of your work.

As a hypothetical example for illustration, suppose your resume says you reduced response time on an inventory lookup API. A tool that reads the document should ask something that touches that sentence, such as which metric confirmed the improvement or whether you changed caching or indexing first and why. A fixed-list tool may ask a general project question instead, which is fine for baseline practice but does not test that claim.

Before paying, check three more things: when a displayed discount ends and whether it applies to your account, how long passes stay valid and what happens to unused ones, and for subscriptions, how auto-renewal and cancellation work. Cancelling renewal stops future charges and is different from refunding a payment already made, so read the refund policy and ask support if unsure.
